Saturday, the 25th of September, 2004. A day that will live in infamy... No, wait, wrong speech.
25 September 2004 was the first annual (we hope) Memphis Belle Dance here in Calgary, held up at the Calgary Aerospace Museum. For one night, this redneck country town, or at least a small portion of it, got dressed up for a night of swing dancing to the sounds of a little big band, which did an incredibly good job of playing vintage and dancable big band music.
This never happens in Calgary!

I often miss the swing dance scene
down in the San Francisco Bay Area. Fortunately, the scene here in Calgary
can be pretty fun too. Just look at us all! Probably the only time you'll
ever see us not in our trademark neo-hip-hop-casual clothes and sueded keds.

Kristin just happened to have her birthday that night, and so we had a birthday jam to live music!
